"Thanks for a great race...Well organized, amazingly energetic volunteers and personally, a new PR for me...Of the 9 halfs I've run so far this was by far the best finish line welcome I've had. Usually I'm grimacing with strain as I cross the finish line, this time I couldn't help but smile. Says it all."

"It was well run, amazing friendly people, great atmosphere and great weather...I was so happy to have ran it with my son Zachary that day. It was my 3rd half and his very first half and I can't believe we both placed...wonderful Day and Wonderful Memories for sure. I would have to say it was my favorite half so far!"

“I just wanted to thank you for opening up registration for me. Also, congratulations to you and your partners for staging an awesome event. Everything was well organized and the volunteers were great. Everyone did a great job. I already signed up for the half in February and am really looking forward to it.”

“Today was the Holiday Half Marathon and originally I was planning to run but had to withdraw due to an injury. So I decided to volunteer and give back to the sport of running which I love. But instead of me giving, it was actually I who ended up on the receiving end of a wonderful gift. I was at the water station at mile 1, which also is mile 12 on the final lap home. You may remember me as the guy wearing the blue down bubble jacket and hat. As a runner myself who completed my first half marathon back in early October in the Bay Ridge Half Marathon, I know the feeling of being near the end and your body wanting to stop. So by being on the other side and watching the runners today, I found myself cheering on everyone who passed me by. Even though many of the runners were exhausted, so many found the time to say thank you and/or smile. Each and every one of you made me feel that me being there made a difference to you and for that I am truly grateful. There is a certain joy when you give of yourself freely without any thought of receiving anything back, but today the gratitude all the runners showed me was a gift I will never forget. Although I didn't personally know any of the runners, I was truly proud to see so many of you push through that wall and finish. From the person who came in first, all the way to watching the last person cross that finish line...you are ALL winners! If you ever have the time to volunteer, do it and you too can receive this special gift that I was given today. Happy Holidays to you all!”
