Boy it is HOT outside. But that's no excuse. As Bill Bowerman once said, "There is no such thing as bad weather. Only soft people".
That said, there a few things you can do to help ensure a safe and enjoyable run in this heat and humidity.
First make sure you run early or you run late. Get out there before work or get out there after, but don't wait until the middle of the day to log those miles. It's not only dangerous, but chances are those high noon high heat runs will not be the best quality. Get out early in the morning and you can push your limits just a little bit further.
Second, and I cannot stress this enough...STAY HYDRATED. Drink early and drink often. If you plan on doing a morning run then you should be drinking A LOT the night before. And if you are doing an evening run then make sure your Nalgene bottles never leave your side at work. A hydrated runner is a happy runner!
